" Hey kid you lost ?" a man's voice cut threw the darkness. It sounded like it was behind the girl . Raising her arm she swung around hoping she'd hit him . But she hit a wall instead ,with the impact she broke four of her knuckles. Crying out in pain she feel to the floor.
"Hey take it easy , I'm not going to hurt you ." She could sense him kneeling down by her . " You shouldn't throw wild punches . You could get hurt like you just did." She just looked up at him , her gray eyes unfocused.
"You broke you knuckles huh. Here let me see you hand." Blinking at him she held her hand out to him . Before he took it she could hear him tearing a piece off cloth off from somewhere. Taking her hand he wrapped the cloth around it . She winced as he pulled it tight.
"There you go . So what's your name kid?" he asked staring at her . "Its Rae." she said timidly. " Well Rae my names Greed. You seem lost ,are you ?" She nodded " Well I could help you find your way back. .' he stood up " Here take my hand ." She reached out and searched for his hand . " My hands right in front off you . What are you blind?" she dropped it. " Oh my bad you are blind aren't you ?" Standing up with tears in her eye, she replied " Yes."
"Heh sorry ." he said rubbing the back of his neck. " So uh . How long have you been blind?"
"Sense yesterday." she whispered leaning against the wall.
"I'm guessing you were in the bombing then ." She nodded again. " Do you have any family?" She pushed back some of her dirty green black hair " No."
" So your totally alone?" she looked down the tears running down her face. " Hey Rae, don't worry Greed's here now." He smiled . Taking her shoulders , he pulled her into him. With his strong arms around her , she cried into his shoulder. Over come with the exhaustion of two days of wandering the city blind she fell asleep against him . Sighing he picked her up and headed for the Devils nest.
