A Fowl Nightmare

There once was a boy with a perpetual scowl

Who was given the name of Artemis Fowl

Now this was a boy you'd never believe

Though he wore his intelligence right on his sleeve

He was a young genius, quite clever and rich

But even the best off can develop an itch

The itch Fowl discovered was one for gold for himself

And so he decided he must capture an elf

Perhaps in another world his wish would have come true

But here in this story let's try something new

This time when young Fowl sat in the bog

The moon shining through the murky night's fog

His deep patience powers brought him no fairy

But a completely dissimilar creature entirely

It was a man taller than any he'd seen

However despite this he was far too lean

His figure seemed to be made out of sticks

But Artemis would not fall for such tricks

He made up his mind to investigate

But soon found his decision had come too late

For the fellow his eyes sought to enquire

Was no longer upon the hill to admire

At that moment Fowl felt he had turned into stone

For soon before him stood a man made of bone

But before a scream could make things get out of hand

Artemis spoke to the skeleton man

"Sorry to stare," he said with the aid of his wit

"Your sudden appearance near gave me a fit.

But now I see there's no reason to howl

I am not scared for I am Artemis Fowl"

For this the man offered a wide boney grin

He knew a place where the boy would fit in

"So nice to meet you" he cheerfully said

"So many just faint at the sight of the dead.

Since you're so brave would you like to come—

Oh my, I'm sorry, I'm Jack Skellington

Would you like to come where it's really a scream?

I'm speaking of course of my home Halloween."

"Actually Halloweentown to be fully correct."

Artemis smiled, he liked the prospect

He nodded his head to give the question regard

Then followed old Jack to the local graveyard

But little did either of the two fellows know

The disaster and chaos that they would soon sow

For soon would occur a calamity ever so great

Because these two people met by mistake.
