I.

Because she had seen his demise

Because she had loved him as her own father

Because he had left her even more alone

That was the reason she had wondered alone with the sword of healing

So that maybe one day her own heart could be mended

That's why she continued along the worn paths that she and her master once walked

For those reasons alone she had become herself, totally alone

II.

Because the portal had closed

Because he had loved her

Because he never got to say goodbye

That was the reason he hurt so much inside that he fled the pain

So that maybe one day he too would be able to heal the wounds of time

That's why he continued to attempt to past through the well to get to her

And for those reasons he didn't notice the decade as it passed by

III.

Because he reminded her of a past

Because he held the other piece to the puzzle of life and death

Because of his eyes

That's why she went to him and asked to be held

So that maybe the open wounds would close

And the only thing left would be scars

Because it was easier to live with only reminders instead of reliving it all

IV.

Because her lips were soft

Because he had lost everything else

Because of her smile

That's why he let her rest against his chest that day and didn't let go

So that maybe he could once again go on

And find another awaiting love

Because it's easier to forget after you move on

V.

Because the fight was over

Because so many were left dead

Because they had known them all

This is why they moved on

Only after a struggle to continue to relive the past

And to find out what was hurt the most in the battle

And in the end is was their very souls

Because of the unshed tears

Because of the massive tragedies

Because they were the only ones left

This is why they stayed together until the joining of the times

Because all the allies had fallen into the dust

And glorious heroes became forgotten as were their deeds

Because in the end all they had were each other

Yeah give it up for Star's 1st and only one shot Inu/Rin. Kinda weird but I was inspired, by what I don't know. I like it though, kinda subtle, kinda not my normal style but I like to keep people guessing.
