The Life of a Girl Who Met Harry Potter

Chapter 1- Waiting

Today was the best day of school. I was hoping it would be the last day in this heartbreaking, worthless place they call a school! I hated this place, I mean yes I was at the head of my class but I had like no friends and that what really counts. Right? I was hated by just about everyone and on top of that I was stuck with living with my best friend's family. I was like another big sister. They took me in when my parents died in a tragic accident. I had no family that wanted to take me in. I was only 9 years-old. I mean it wasn't a bad thing because they loved me like I was there own daughter but I always wanted my family to still be with me so I could love them.

So when I got home for from school a letter for me was on the table. I hurried over to the table and opened the letter but it wasn't the letter I was looking for. It was some stupid letter from my old teacher saying how wonderful it was to have me in her in her math class. I hated math! It was the most boring subject ever. So I just trough it back on the table and went up to my room. Suddenly the door of my room swings open and there was Carly (my best friend scene we were little and I stayed with her family) came into my room that was the cutest room ever! It was dark blue and had stars(I loved stars) and Green Day posters(loved them to, of course, don't you?) plastered across my room walls.

"What was the letter for? Are you going to England?"

"No it wasn't it."

"Then what was it?"

"It was a letter from my old teacher saying that it was wonderful to have me in her math class."

"That's just stupid! What teacher sends a letter like that?"

"Mrs. Racenburg, of course." I answered to her stupid question because she knew the answer.

"I hate her!"

"I hate her to. I think everyone dose1"

"I know."

Suddenly the door opened. It was Carly's mom and brother. She came to come talk about the letter on the table. So she started to ask the same questions that Carly just asked! So I spent the next ten minutes answering them. Finally she remembered that the stove was on and she had to go finish making dinner. Then Carly left to go help her mom with dinner.

So maybe I should go back and explain what is happening. About four months ago a tall, old man came to our house after school to tell me that some how this bewitched pen thing skipped over my name when making invites to his school. So he told me all about it and that I was a witch (witch I still don't get). I thought it sounded weird but kinda cool. Then he asked me if I wanted to go to his school. And, of course, I said yes but Carly's mom can't stay out of my life she isn't my mother. She's just my best friend's mom and she can't be mine and she just doesn't get it! She thought it was a bad idea for me to go from California to London. I said it would be a great why for me to make new friends. But no, she still didn't get it, that this is what I wanted to do and she didn't have a say because she's not my mother! After talking and some yelling I finally couldn't take it and ran outside and went to where I always go, church. Ever scene my parents died that's all I had left to hold to my heart!

So I guess after I left he got her to say yes because when I walked in the door Carly runs over and tells me that I get to go. But then her mom comes out and all hell brakes lose and boy was there some yelling and I couldn't wait to get away from her!
