Spoilers: Everything. Including "Whacked"
Disclaimer: CSI: Miami is owned by it's Creators.
Your shift has been over for fifteen minutes already and the case is over.(The bad guys are dead and locked up and the good guy's won but people still died.)But you're still sitting in the locker room. You don't have the energy to get up. You're so damned tired. Everything you've done since Speed died has felt like diving without oxygen. And you're drowning, doing anything you can to get to the surface. But the undertow keeps pulling you down, down, and down. Farther and farther until you can't see, can't breathe and everything you do to escape is pulling you deeper.
You think about cancelling your appointment with pysch. services, even though you shouldn't.(You don't want to go see the shrink when you're so fucking tired and all you can think of is Calleigh.) That would be irresponsible and avoidingthe problem. And you need to show that you can be trusted to be responsible, to do your job. That you won't make the mistake of losing your badge to recklessness again.
(That you've escaped being consumed by the desparate search for "Why?")
You think of Calleigh and you know you won't cancel your apointment.
("I trust you with every fiber of my being and you know that.")
You had forgotten for a while.
You are trusted.
She trusts you and you won't let her down again.
