A.N.: Sorry about the long wait but I wanted to fix the first chapter and
write a new poem. Well, this chapter is about Kagura and according to the
survey, she shall meet Sesshoumaru. So, this chapter is for all
Kagura/Sesshoumaru lovers. Now, on with the chapter! R&R!
Chapter 9
When Kagura reached the castle grounds, she breathed in the cool air and brought out her trusty feather from her hair. Kagura threw it in the air and it quickly grew. She walked towards it and settled herself on top of the feather. The feather rose into the night, high above the poison miasma down below.
"Hmm, I wonder if he will help me this time." wondered Kagura.
She remembered the last time she had asked him. He wouldn't even help her for two shikon shards.
"Humph, that idiot." Said Kagura in her normal, disrespectful voice.
But, deep down in her heart where not even Kanna could see, a tiny little spark always generated when she thought of him.
"Sesshoumaru..." Whispered Kagura as she closed her eyes. She opened them again to see a tree in front of her.
"Crap!" screamed Kagura as her feather went off course. She closed her eyes again and waited for the impact. But instead, found that she had stopped by a unknown reason. She opened up her eyes to see that she was being carried by the man she was looking for, Sesshoumaru.
'Why did he catch me?' thought Kagura curiously.
"Could you please get off of me." said Sesshoumaru coldly.
Kagura snorted at him and got off.
"Then why did you catch me in the first place, pretty boy?" asked Kagura sarcastically.
"Did you want me to let you crash into that tree then?" Sesshoumaru pointed at the tree she almost smacked into and saw that her feather had cut partly into the tree and had flipped. Basically, it would have hurt like hell.
"Keh, fine then. But I'm not giving you a thanks." Snapped Kagura.
"Sesshoumaru-sama! Look, Rin found pretty red flowers." said a voice behind the tree.
A little girl came out and stopped short when she looked at Kagura. Kagura looked her over and recognized her as the little girl she kidnapped before.
"Se-Se-Seshoumaru-sama! Is lady here to kidnap Rin again!?" Rin took a few steps back but Sesshoumaru put his hand out.
"Do not worry Rin. She is not here to harm you." Said Sesshoumaru reassuringly.
Rin let out a sigh of relief and walked over towards Kagura and handed over the flowers to her.
"Rin think pretty lady should get flowers. Rin likes orange flowers best because they are the same colour of my clothes. But blue is nice to because it's like the sky and ocean and..."
Basically, Rin kept on talking. Another sound was heard and a frog- like creature came out from behind the tree.
"Rin, come back here at once. Oh, Sesshoumaru-sama is not going to like this."
"What is it Jaken?" he asked in his cold demeanor.
Jaken turned around but stopped his gaze at Kagura. He noticed Rin beside her and ran over, waving his staff around to get a good hit.
Kagura looked over at Jaken. She grabbed his staff and then clubbed him over the head with it.
"What are you doing?" Kagura asked a bit annoyed.
Jaken pointed a accusing finger at Kagura and screamed,
"Your not taking Rin away from Lord Sesshoumaru-sama."
Rin looked at him confused and pointed behind him,
"But Sesshoumaru-sama is right behind you and he looks mad."
Jaken began to sweat immensely turned to see Sesshoumaru's cold gaze. Jaken got down on his knees and began to bow while spitting out apologies.
Sesshoumaru began to become annoyed by his servant, so he looked at him and said,
"Shut up or do I have to kill you again?"
Jaken yelped and ran over to Rin and grabbed her, and then he made a break for it.
Kagura smirked at him and then went and sat beside him.
"What is your business here Kagura. You know that I do not have the time."
"Well, I need you to kill Naraku. Right now, Kanna is gone and he is basically defenseless. You can kill him now and take the Shikon shards with you."
"I have no need for the shards wench."
"Fine then! I knew this was a waste of time anyways!" Kagura attempted to get up but Sesshoumaru pulled her back down.
"Who said that I didn't want to kill Naraku? Let us go. We will leave now."
In Kagura's mind, she saw herself jumping around while screaming,
"Yes! This is great!"
She looked at Sesshoumaru and kissed him on the cheek.
"Thanks, pretty boy." Kagura got up and began to walk towards Rin and Jaken.
Sesshoumaru felt his cheek and looked towards the moon.
'What is this feeling?' wondered Sesshoumaru but shook it off and went to get his dragon-like horses ready.
Kagura began to walk and then remembered what she had done.
'What the heck was I thinking?' thought Kagura.
'Damn it! Why the hell did I do that.'
Rin ran to Kagura and pulled on her sleeve.
"Sesshoumaru-sama says we can go now. Rin wants Kagura to stay next to Rin. Okay?"
Kagura nodded and took Rin's hand.
Back at the Hospital:
Souta felt his face, then looked at his mom and said,
"Mom, my left eye..." Before Souta could finish, tiny tears dropped out of his eyes and he began to sob.
"I c-can't s-s-see. I-I can't see out of m-my left eye." Souta began to cry uncontrollably and Mrs. Higurashi came over to whisper reassuring words into his ear.
Kanna looked at herself and then felt a strange feeling. She felt guilty.
'It's my fault. It's my fault Souta's partly blind. It's my fault he got hurt.' Kanna thoughts kept on telling her that it was her fault. She had to get away. She got up and bolted for the door.
"Kanna, don't go!" yelled Souta as he struggled to get up. Souta yelped in pain and lay on his back again. More tears filled his eyes and he attempted to cry away the pain.
Kanna felt her eyes burn with tears as she kept on running. She escaped the hospital and was running randomly. She crossed the street and failed to notice the light go red. Kanna turned to see a car coming straight at her and then everything went black.
