A.N.: For those of you who were wainting. I have finally updated. If this does not show up, it is problay because I am using a very terrible word perfect. But for me, it is a word pad, so if this shows up, I will be happy. If not, I will be cursing my head off. Anyways, on with the chapter!
Chapter 15
Inuyasha was currently trying to make his way through the Forest of Cloudy Dreams. He covered his nose, the stench of blood was everywhere. It was overpowering his senses and made him dizzy. He shook his head and continued forward, determined to find Souta and find out why the hell he was here.
Inuyasha could tell the blood stench was getting thicker and his thoughts were getting cloudy. He did not notice the tree root under him and he yelled in surprise as he fell face first. A sudden burning was on his face and he looked down. A dead demon lay beside him. Venom was splurting from his mouth and Inuyasha had landed right in it!
The burning increased and Inuyasha was clawing at his face, screaming in agony. The pain was beyond imaginable and his eyes were beginning to blur. He stumbled forward and was surprised when he found a wall. His eyes were still good enough to see the door in front of him and he stumbled inside.
Inuyasha rubbed his eyes and stared at the scene in front of him.
'Is that Kanna over there? Why the hell is she here?'
Inuyasha could also see Souta in front of him. But why was he standing beside Kanna so calmly? His head was beginning to spin from the confusion and his body worked all on his own. He pulled out Tetsusaiga and recklessly charged forward.
He smirked when he saw that he had caught Kanna of guard and placed the sword across her pale neck. He could here shouting from behind him but his attention was directed to Kanna.
"Tell.....me....w-why t-the h-hell......."
Inuyasha's vison was then surrounded in darkness.
Outside the Forest of Cloudy Dreams:
Souta sat worriedly beside his hanyou friend. Inuyasha had not woken up, even when they had to drag him across The Forest of Cloudy Dreams. He hair was caked in mud and leaves, but Souta was sure he wouldn't mind to much.
Kanna was out hunting food, so Souta had time to think about what to do.
"That book, how did it know Kanna's name? I hope nothing bad happens to her..." said Souta, speaking his thoughts out loud.
"What the hell out you talking about Souta?"
Souta froze and slowly turned his head around. There stood Inuyasha who was obviously feeling much better. He looked with at Souta with a curious yet demanding face.
"So, are you going to tell me why you are hanging around with that wench?"
Souta suddenly shot around and and shouted right in his face,
"Don't ever call her that!"
Inuyasha winced, his ears were back to being sensitive and that yell sure shook his head. Inuyasha sat back down and pondered as to why Souta was protecting Kanna in the first place. Or maybe it was the other way around. Inuyasha smirked at the image of Souta swinging a sword around. Suddenly, a thought popped into his head.
"Oh, do you her or something?"
Souta blushed crimson and turned away.
"Well..., she's only my friend and pretty much nothing else. I mean, why would I... love her?"
Inuyasha thought about it and agreed with Souta that it was pretty much impossible for him to be in love with that heartless soul stealing demon.
"Yeah, I guess so." Souta said with he fake laughed.
Souta felt something in his heart droop slowly as he thought about what would happen if he actually didn't like Kanna? She was an evil demon and was not compatible with Souta, according to Inuyasha. But the more he thought about it, the more depressed he got. He excused himself from Inuyasha and went over to look at a gigantic flower field.
He ran towards it but who would have thought, Souta tripped over a rock!
"What the -MMPH!" Souta was sent crashing into a rock. His head bounced off a rock and he was knocked unconscious.
Dream of Souta:
Souta stood in a battle field. His hand was twisted in a odd shape but he felt no pain. Thousands of demons were laying dead all around him and all Souta had to defend himself was a bow and arrow. He looked behind the masses of body and saw Kanna in a Feudal Era castle.
Souta wanted to walk over to her but his legs wouldn't move. His sister suddenly came into view with a bow and arrow in her hand.
"Step back Souta."
Souta pain no heed to his sister and continued to walk towards Kanna. He could see Kanna walking towards him and Kagome was shouting something. He looked at her and noticed she was aiming at Kanna! He ran back and pushed Kagome. Kagome gasped and the arrow was sent flying towards Naraku at a tremendous speed.
Naraku turned around and screamed in agony as the arrow pierced through his protective form. His body dissapeared and everybody turned to Kanna. Kagome shouted another sentence at Kanna and let that arrow fly. Souta screamed as it struck Kanna and his mind turned dark. He could here Kanna shouting,
"Souta! Souta wake up!"
End of Dream.
In the field:
Inuyasha shook Souta and screamed in his ear, Souta shot up and looked at Inuyasha. His eyes filled with tears and he grabbed onto Inuyasha for comfort. He sighed and hugged back.
"So, anything you want to tell me?" said Inuyasha curiously.
"No, well... maybe just one thing. Where is Kagome?"
Inuyasha frowned and turned away. Souta walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. As Inuyasha turned around, his ears drooped and he said,
"She was kidnapped by Naraku."
"EHHHHH!" Souta screamed and fell in a feint.
"Hey Souta, you okay?"
So Inuyasha sat there, waiting for the rest of the group to come and also Kanna. He wanted to talk to her.
Before the falling of Souta:
Kanna had found a couple of rabbits. She had easily took the souls from them to make them stop moving and killed them so that when she released the souls, it would not go to the rabbits.
She was walking back to the camp when she heard Inuyasha talking to Souta.
"Well..., she's only my friend and pretty much nothing else. I mean, why would I... love her?"
Kanna felt a pang of sadness and wondered why she was so sad?
'Damn emotions, they hurt so much.' thought Kanna sadly.
Kanna decided to sleep so she walked up to a tree and rested beside it. She sat like that for an hour but could not sleep. She kept on hearing rustling sounds.
"Who is there? Reveal yourself or perish."
A gigantic boomerang shot out from some bushes and Kanna swung her mirror at the weapon. It bounced back to the thrower and they stepped out. Sango, Miroku, and the rest appeared with their weapons ready for battle.
"This is your end Kanna. Prepare to die!"
They all rushed towards her and Kanna backed away slightly. This was going to be one tough battle.
