This Is Home

Summary: "Atlantis...or Earth. Because Earth isn't home for me anymore. Atlantis is home."

A.N.: I have tooooo many SGA icons saved on my computer. I don't need all of them - but they're there to ogle whenever I want to. This is where this story came from if you wondered why I was suddenly talking about SGA icons.

"...and today is the day most of you have been waiting for: the chance to go home. Some of you have been dreaming of this day since we first arrived here, others of you hadn't wanted to hope and dream until it was fact, not fiction. And now it's fact. So I'm going to dial up the gate...and we're all going to decide."

Sheppard waited until he felt every eye on him.

"Atlantis...or Earth. Because Earth isn't home for me anymore. Atlantis is home."

He nodded to Grodin who pressed the centre button to dial up the gate. In turn, he locked eyes with his team members...Carson, Teyla, Ronan, Rodney and Zelenka. They all nodded their agreement and came to stand by him. Sheppard looked then to his left, to the dead-set expression on Elizabeth's face and knew...she wasn't leaving.

They'd been given the chance, and as only a handful of people left Atlantis for good, he knew he was home.
