AN: Weird, this just occurred to me when I was thinking how Miaka really screwed over Hong-nan. the viewpoint is just another commoner, as the world basically is left in ruin. What Tai Yi Jun said was crazy, Miaka didn't save them, she caused all the trouble, and pushed them to the very brink of destruction, then left them there alone.

Lies

It was all a lie. The prophesy, the legend. It told of a girl who would save us all when desperate times came, but all this girl of 'legends' did was tear the world to shreds.

The world was fine before she came. Yes, there were problems, but nothing is perfect. Now the world was a shattered husk of its former glory, our emperors are all dead, along with our heroes. Worst of all, our glimmer of hope has vanished in a blink. In the middle of a battle our 'priestess' disappeared with one of our strongest warriors, and our forces were slaughtered.

Everything has collapsed into ruin, nothing is like it was anymore, every kingdom struggles simply to exist, and us with a young and inexperienced Empress who struggles with her own grief atop the mass outbreaks of crime spurred by this chaos, are the ones that will fade away first.

What became of the fantasy world of peace and happiness we dreamt of? Where is the 'most glorious time ever' for our kingdom, that she was to lead us to? Where has our god even gone?

Now more and more creatures from the darkness appear every day, sickness and famine claim more lives now than any war before has. Did the priestess' arrival not spur this war to begin with?

The legend was a lie. The priestess of Suzaku was not a gift of hope, it was a curse of destruction, punishment for our foolishness. And now our greatest emperors have died without heirs, our kingdoms and cities are destroyed and trampled, and not a glimmer of the magic that flowed through our veins remains.

It is too late now to go back, our world is doomed, and our 'beloved' priestess is safe and snug in her own world. I wonder if she was able to summon our god, our protector, and use it for her own childish whims?

But then, I wonder now whether our 'god' ever existed at all.

AN: What do you think? >.>; Entirely odd, I know...who knows if I'll make another, it all depends on what ya'll think!
