Sonic's Loneliness
Oneshot, this is my first songfic. It'll be amazing if I actually get reviews for this...
Everyone is owned by Sega. The song included, 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' is written by Green Day, so I don't own it. Not in the least.
I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known...
Sonic was standing, alone, in his room. His glory days were over, and everyone had left him. Tails was a pro pilot, Knuckles was guarding the Master Emerald, Rouge was trying to steal it, the Chaotix and Eggman were still clashing over money, Omega was shut down, Amy and Cream were shopping, Big was fishing as usual, and Shadow had died, many, many years ago.
Don't know where it goes, but it's only me, and I walk alone...
Sonic was lonely. No one ever visited him, now that Eggman had renounced evil. Everyone had forgotten about him, and abandoned him. No one ever visited him, and no one cared about him.
"They all have friends...what about me? What did I do to deserve this?" Sonic asked himself. Tears rolled down his cheeks, and he walked over to the drawer.
I walk this lonely street on the Boulevard of Broken Dreams when the city sleeps, I'm the only one, and I walk alone...
Sonic pulled out a surgical blade from the drawer. He had taken it from Eggman just before he had stabbed Tails. Sonic had not known what to do with it, and simply kept it. Now, he had a purpose for it. Sonic drew it closer to his wrist.
I walk alone, I walk alone...my shadow's the only one that walks beside me...
"Looks like this is the end...of Sonic the Hedgehog...oh who am I kidding? I could never do it..." Sonic said, throwing down the blade. Sonic felt an overwhelming feeling of loneliness, and it hurt. He'd never been alone before. He'd always had Tails praising him, Knuckles boasting, or Amy hugging him... all of those Sonic wished he had now.
My shadow's heart's the only thing that's beating...sometimes I wish they'd be a pair of them beside me...too bad I walk alo-o-o-one...
"I don't think I can live anymore...not without them...where did I go wrong?" Sonic exclaimed. Sonic tripped, and fell, face-first, into the blade. Sonic screamed in agony, and Amy burst in through the door.
"Sonic! Noo!" Amy exclaimed. Sonic sat up painfully, pain throbbing in his muzzle.
I'm walking down the line, not to ride me somewhere in my mind on the borderline and where I walk alone...
"Ames, I'm here...barely..." Sonic said painfully, gritting his teeth. Amy put her arm around his shoulder. He noticed that she was holding a pink bag with a card.
"Sonic...why?" Amy asked. Sonic sighed.
"Everyone left me, abandoned me. I had no where else to turn. But this injury...was an accident." Sonic said, pointing to his bleeding muzzle.
"Sonic, we were just getting you birthday presents! And don't you dare do something like that again...because...I love you..." Amy said, pulling Sonic into a soft kiss.
"I love you too, Amy...I love you too..." Sonic said, before returning the kiss.
Read between the lines what's fucked up and everything's alright. Check my vital signs, no I'm still alive, and I walk alone...
