The Best Week

Gibbs walks in the office like any other normal Friday after a case had been solved. He was rather cheerful or I guess as cheerful as he can be. He sat down at his desk and booted up his computer. As he was working with his computer the elevator door "dinged" sounding Kate's arrival.
"Good Morning Kate," Gibbs said in a distracted voice. He was starting to have some problems with his computer.
"Hey Boss"
Kate sits down and boots her computer up. She is just dreading the day for all she is doing is paper work for the last case. Tony is away on vacation for a week and McGee has a family reunion out of state. Abby and Ducky are at some sort of scientists' conventions. So that leaves her and Gibbs to do all the paper work.
She just rolls her eyes and starts typing up the papers and what not. After a few minutes of that she hears a loud slam that startles her and she jumps up. She turns around and finds Gibbs computer key board disconnected from the computer and on the floor 7 ft away. He has his hands on his face trying to wipe the stress away.
"Damn technology," he adds before smacking his computer once more.
"Uh, Gibbs do you need some help?" Kate questions.
"Well there is this error thing that keeps popping up telling me something that I don't understand and I won't let me get anything done."
"You do know that throwing your key board across the room did not help the situation," Kate cautiously replied.
"Yeah, well it made me feel better," Gibbs replies.
Kate gets up and retrieves the keyboard and the few keys that had fallen off. She connects the keyboard back up and snaps the "G" and "M" back on. She types on it for a minute or two and then stands up and walks back to he computer.
"That's it?" Gibbs asked shocked that a problem so confusing to him could be solved in a minute by someone else.
"Yeah, do you want me to explain it?"
"Uh, no no that's ok."
"Ok, but just let me know if the problem occurs again."
Gibbs nods and returns to typing. This continues for the remainder of the day with only a few technical problems with Gibbs computer. As they start to finish up Gibbs asks Kate," So what are your plans for the weekend?"
"Just hanging out at home," she replies with a slight sad tone to her voice."
"Oh," Gibbs said. Earlier that week he had overheard Tony telling McGee that Kate had a big date on Saturday night. He assumed that by the tone in her voice the planes had been changed.
"What about you?" Kate asked.
"Well going to do what I have been doing for the past 3 years, work on my boat."
Gibbs decided to be bold and he asked her "Do you want to grab some food after we finish up here?"
He could tell that Kate was surprised but then quickly responded with a simple "yeah."
