Luke: Hey Lorelai, are you busy tonight?
Lorelai: Well my other boyfriend, Sam, wanted to go out tonight but I think I can squeeze you in. Why? You have something planned?
Luke: Well... Yea...I'll pick you up at 7 ok?
Lorelai: Ok, so you gonna tell me where were going?
Luke: Nope
Lorelai: Fine! Well I have to go check on the Dragonfly, I'll be back for lunch.
Luke: Ok, see you then.
Luke watched Lorelai leave the diner thinking about his plans for tonight and how it would impact his life and Lorelai's.
(Dragonfly Kitchen)
Lorelai: Hey Sook!
Sookie: Hey Lorelai! So you wanna have a girls night out tonight? We can paint the town red! Or blue, i personally think the town should be purple.
Lorelai: Wow, as much as I want to paint the town purple,I can't Luke has something big planned, but he won't tell me what it is!
Sookie: Ooo that sounds like fun, I wonder what he's planning.
Lorelai: Same here... Well I have to go work or I will never know what hes planning behind those big blue eyes of his.
Sookie: Ok, bye hon
6:53 PM (Lorelai's House)
Lorelai (to herself): Damn, I dont know what to wear, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE WERE GOING!
She finally found a red dress that matched her figure perfectly and was finished with her hair right when the doorbell rang.
Lorelai: Hey
Luke: Hey
Lorelai: So where are we going?
Luke: I'm still not going to tell you
Lorelai: Damnit...
Luke drove out of Lorelai's driveway and straight to the diner.
Lorelai: If we're going to the diner, why did you drive to my house?
Luke: To throw you off
Lorelai: Well, it worked
They got out and walked inside. Luke led Lorelai upstairs to his apartment. Inside there was a big banner that said 'Lorelai will you marry me?'. Lorelai looked up and saw the banner and turned to Luke who was down on one knee holding out a small velvet box with a beautiful diamond ring inside.
Lorelai: Oh...My...God...
Lorelai couldn't keep the smile off her face.
Luke: Lorelai, I've loved you since the day we met, we spent almost 8 years being oblivious to what was right in front of our eyes. I dont want to waste anymore time, I want to start our life together.
Somewhere back there I left my worries all behind.
My problems fell out of the back of my mind.
We're going and I'm never knowing (never knowing) where we're going.
To go back to where I was would just be wrong.
I'm pressing on.

Luke smiled and placed the ring on her finger. He stood up and Lorelai kissed him.
