Innocence…
…?
I've heard that word many times—but never really stopped and thought about its meaning.
What is innocence?
Oh, I know what innocence means—Ryou's read the dictionary out of boredom so many times over that it's hard not to know.
But…you ask me what it feels like. To describe it on a more…emotional level, you could say.
I suppose being completely innocent would mean no pain or anger. No jealousy or hatred. No spite or scorn. No bitterness.
Of course, being the person I am, I've had more than my fair share of all of them.
To put it into the pharaoh's words—my soul is tainted. Not that I feel it's a problem. If total innocence were my destiny, I more than likely wouldn't be here now.
And we couldn't have that, could we?
Innocence is just another way through life; a different path towards the same fate. It doesn't really matter—the end always justifies the means.
