Author's Note: I just got this idea after watching 2x06 on how Shannon would react on her own death and meeting Boone again.

"Boone?" Shannon asked and swallowed as she looked at the back of a man with brown hair. He slowly turned around, revealing his identity, causing her to nearly choke.

"Now, don't be afraid, Shan," Boone said softly, walking closer to her, whispering, "You're safe here."

"Safe? I don't even know where I am. How did I get here? I can only remember blood and rain." She said and held her breath.

He took her hand and held it lightly, feeling the coldness of it. Shannon wanted to pull it away but she just looked at him, not understanding what this was. Was it just one of the dreams she used to have every night? Was it real? It certainly felt real in that moment.

Boone had waited for this. When he had died, he had waited for this moment to come, for the moment when he could see Shannon again, to feel her again. It had happened sooner than he had expected, and he tried to figure out a good way to break the news to her. When he let go of her hand, he turned around again, making sure not to see her face.

"I suppose you can't remember running after Walt in the jungle after making up with Sayid? I can't tell you how but the next moment you were lying on the ground with a big wound, bleeding to death." Boone spoke quickly, wondering what her reaction would be. Shannon stared at his back but moved her eyes to the ground.

"I-I'm dead?" she asked and the tone of her voice made Boone's heart break. He slowly nodded his head and turned to her. "You're ly-" she started but Boone cut her off quickly.

"I love you, Shannon," he started, looking away from her. "I never meant to hurt you by dying and as much as I wanted to continue on living, it was my time, and now it was your time."

Shannon shook her head, failing to believe any of it. I want to wake up now, please just let me wake up from this nightmare. She thought and closed her eyes. No words could describe how much it had hurt when Boone had died. She wasn't entirely sure that she could ever forgive him. Boone knew that she had a hard time dealing with this, she didn't even believe in it.

"Please just let me go back, okay?" Shannon pleaded and looked at him and as she saw him shaking his head, she grew angry. "Why n-" Boone cut her screaming off.

"Because you're dead!" Boone snapped. "Now accept it." He slowly walked away from her, leaving her there.

As much as it saddened her, she would now be with her brother, in eternity.
