It was a bleak August day in Diagon Alley, as many watched from the safety of stores as the rain fell. A nine-year-old boy with short, chestnut colored hair and deep, sad hazel eyes, however was not indoors watching the rain fall down, but sat outside, in the pouring rain, getting soaked to the bone. He let out a short sigh and ran his fingers through his sopping wet hair. His young face was pale and gaunt. It appeared the child was underfed and malnourished but this was not the case. It had been a year since he received the bite, and now every full moon he would turn into a horrendous creature and had to be locked away.
The young boy's name was Remus J. Lupin, one day to be a Hogwarts Professor but for now a lonely boy, getting over the last night of the full moon.
Remus sighed once more as he felt the rain pelt down on his soft chestnut hair and his pale skin. He soon turned his eyes, heavenward and found that his vision was blocked because of a black umbrella. His hazel eyes followed the umbrella to a small lightly tanned hand then up a thin arm to a girl's face. The girl smiled warmly at him as she sat down next to him. "I am sorry, but I thought you could use someone to talk to." she paused "I know I would if I looked as sad as you do." she said softly, not wanting to offend him. Remus manages a weak shy smile "T-thank you." he said in a soft shy tone. He really couldn't believe someone would want to talk to him! The girl smiles "Oh, by the way my name is -." But before she could even say her name she heard a voice "Meggy!" she cringed at the nickname. She turns watching her mother walk over to her hold an umbrella "Come on we are leaving." she said eyeing the way Remus was dressed before grabbing her daughters hand and leading her away. The girl frowns and turns looking back to Remus with an apologetic look. She had been hoping she might have made a new friend but it didn't turn out that way.
Remus watched knowing there was nothing he could do. He stands then realizes the girl had dropped her umbrella. He picks up the black umbrella and looks around. No by now the girl was out of sight. He looked on the handle as the rain lightened and there embroider in gold was the name 'Megumi Moonshine.'
