Ashley was so cold. But not because the air was frigid, but because she was terrified, scared of the villagers coming to take her away, scared because there was something in her blood, scared because she didn't know what was coming next……she felt a tear run down her face. At least she had Leon…..he had come to rescue her, and even though she knew he was just doing his job, she still felt herself save when he was with her, sure, she was the presidents daughter, there were vary few times in her life when she had felt unsafe, but this was one of them! And now that he was here she felt sure they would make it out of here alive! They had too!
Leon saw her staring at the body of the woman he had just shot, her head….half blown off and her brains spilling onto the floor. A tear fell from her eye, he didn't wont her upset more then she already was, it would make her less reliable later. So he grabbed a moldy table cloth and draped it over the grotesque body.
" Thanks." she whispered. He just shook his head. It was starch black out, the rain coming down hard, she seemed worn out so he decided to wait here for a few moments so she could rest. He secured the little shack, then sat down in the corner so he could see the door and the windows, just incase more of those people came and tried to get in. Ashley came and sat down next to him, under different circumstances he would not have let her sit that close, but he felt her tremble and knew she was scared out of her wits. They sat there for a few moments, him lost in his thoughts, but alert. Her……..thinking of him. She missed her father, and her friends, she wanted to live through this so she could go home and have a nice hot bath. But right now she was thinking about her handsome rescuer. She felt a twinge of affection for him, after all…he was vary nice to look at. She wondered if he would kiss her? He must be older then her, but she was an adult, she could see any one she wanted to! She jumped as a noise came from out side! He stood up and looked out the windows…. But found nothing, he turned to go back to the corner and chek on her but she was already standing next to him.
" Leon?"
" Yes, Ashley?" She smiled a little.
" Thank you." She leaned up and placed her lips on his….but he pulled away. He looked at her, not sternly, but apologetically.
" I Cant." was all he said. He just stood there, she didn't know what to say?
" We….Well why not?" He smiled.
" I'm on a mission, and your not thinking clearly." She crossed her arms.
" Maybe your on a mission, and maybe I ain't thinking clearly, but there has to be more to it……you married?" He laughed.
" No!" She thought.
" Well then you have a girlfriend!" She accused. He just shook his head. He walked around her to the corner checking the windows.
" What's her name then!" Leon paused, then said.
" Clair." Ashley shrugged. Leon readied his gun and went to the door.
" Ready?" She shook her head yes.
