Another 100-word drabble, this one inspired by Valis2's prompt:
"Legolas/Mary Sue!1! Hahahah...okay, no, that would be too evil. So...Gimli/anyone. He doesn't get enough. Prompt: It's a heart of stone you have."
I do my best to be good to them, (even If I did succumb to the Legolas/OFC temptation – It's part of the prompt, I swear!) but, of course, I own nothing.
"It's a heart of stone you have."
"It'll only bring trouble, Legolas. Mark my words." Could he blame the elf, really? With all the women throwing themselves at the elf, at least his taller friend had had the brains to find a good, sensible dwarf. But still, Legolas's comment stung.
Gimli pulled out the packet he kept close to his heart. He caressed the soft bundle, feeling the hairs within their geode chamber. Stone didn't melt easily. It was hard to chip through. But what it held could be beautiful, and would last unmarred until the end of its days.
