Chapter 1
It was a good day at the titans tower. It was sunny outside, so they all went to the park and hung out there. They played some football, the guys at least, but all were having fun.
By the time they got home, every one was very happy, yes, even Raven, but tired from the long day of fun. So they sat on the couch and watched one scary movie, than went to bed.
Starfire was still scared from the movie and clung to Robin as he went to go into his room, leaving her to walk to her room down the long dark hallway all by herself where the monsters could attack her.
"What's the matter Starfire?" Robin said, looking at her with a raised eyebrow, for she was practically in his arms (not in a bad way) shaking from fear.
"Please don't leave me to walk down the hall alone! What if the monsters attack me? What if they attack you? Where are our friends? I hope they are unharmed!" Starfire said, starting to panic.
"Whoa Starfire. Calm down, it was only a movie. It wasn't real. Nothing is going to hurt you"
"But…in the movie…it looked real to me."
"Hmm…how can I put this to make you unafraid…ok I got it. The monsters are actually sad because no one wants to be their friend. They are from another planet, like you, and are misunderstood. They just want to be friends with everyone. They are actually nice."
"Really?" Starfire said, looking at Robin like a little kid would look at their grandpa telling them stories and the kid believing them.
"Really. Now I'll walk you to your room, but you'll be fine. Goodnight."
"Goodnight Robin and thank you for helping me understand these 'monsters'." And with that, Starfire walked into her room and closed the door softly.
" Phew! That was a close one." Said Robin as he walked back into his room and closing the door. He took a hot shower, to wash after playing football at the park, and got changed into his nightclothes, getting into bed.
The only light in his room now was the moonlight coming from his window. It was very late by now, but Robin hadn't been able to go to sleep. He looked at his alarm clock. It read 2:32 in bright green numbers. Robin tensed. Something was in his room with him, he could feel it. He looked around. Nothing. "Maybe it's just my imagination…" he thought. He looked around a few more times, seeing nothing, tried to go to sleep.
"Hello Robin." Said a steady voice.
Robin jumped. There was someone in his room with him, but who. He had never heard that voice before. Was the person a good person, or not.
"Hello? Who are you and what do you want?" Robin said in a slightly wavering voice.
"It's not what I want, it's what you need."
