March 16

Caesar was once again warned today and once again dismissed it. Alas, I am not sick and have come to Senate! My weak mind has betrayed Caesar and agreed to help Cassius. I fear I have killed him and he has killed my heart as well, for even as I stabbed him with my dagger, he gave me a look of betrayal, which cut me deeper than any knife could. Antony came soon after Caesar's death and faked kindness to us. Though I did not support his death, while they plotted, his cheerful act disturbed me and causes me to believe he is up to something. Out of pity I let him speak to the crowd after I had, though he could speak no ills of us. He did as I said but twisted words and minds against us. I fear we shall have to flee soon if we value our lives.
