Our Eddie Guerrero
Our Eddie Guerrero
Our Latino Heat
The man who made us laugh every Friday Night.
The man who impressed us with his high flying moves and quickness.
Who left us in amazement at his most memorable moments.
The man who did a frog splash off the top of a steel cage.
The man who retained his title against one of the greatest mat-wrestlers Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 20.
The man who beat the odds and defeated Brock Lesner at No Way Out 2004 to become WWE Champion.
A man who made us smile when we heard his theme song.
A man who made us cheer seeing him show off his custom-made low riders.
A man who really showed us the true meaning of the phrase "Lie, Cheat and Steal".
But now that man is gone.
That man was taken away from us.
Not so much as taken, but was needed elsewhere.
So as one by one we wrestling fans hear the news, we will react in different ways.
Some will scream in shock, some will be speechless and most will cry, but no matter what our reaction we will all be sad.
We wrestling fans will remember a man, one man, one very special man.
As we watch Raw and Smackdown! we will see our many favorite superstars lined together to show their respects as we have ours.
We will hear stories from them telling us about that one special man.
We will watch videos and tributes, see pictures and signs.
We will smile remembering the things he did and touched our wrestlers in many ways like he has us.
As we all go to the funeral we will mourn for a great man.
Upon many will speak about him.
We will stand and honor one man as the workers lower his casket into the ground.
We will all see something, a tombstone.
We will see three words, "In Loving Memory".
As much as we don't want to believe it, we must.
As much as we don't want to believe it's true, it is.
He is gone, but not forever.
We will see him again, but now we will remember him.
