Act Zero

The prince walked over to Mr. Capulet and Mr. Montague having a heated discussion.

"This rock was over by that tree." yelled Mr. Montague.

"No, it was right here." Mr. Capulet yelled back.

"What's going on over here?" the prince asked.

"Mr. Montague, here, moved this rock." said Mr. Capulet.

"So, what's the big deal?"

"That rock was the boundary to the land I just purchased."

"Oh." said the prince. "What other markers are there?"

"This rock, that tree," he pointed, "and the stream that runs through the woods.":

"Which explains why one of you would want to move it." said the prince.

"But, I didn't." he insisted.

"You liar!" Mr. Capulet yelled.

"Enough!" shouted the prince. "Mr. Montague, come with me. Mr. Capulet, you come later." The prince lead the two men down to the road where he and Mr. Montague walked towards town, and Mr. Capulet walked home. Once they got to the princes house they sat down to talk. The prince asked Mr. Montague where about the boundaries and when he purchased the land. After they had talked for a while, Mr. Montague went home. When, Mr .Capulet came the prince asked him the same questions. Then next day the prince met with the two men to try to resolve the argument. As it turned out, Mr. Montague had purchased the land first. So, the prince told Mr. Capulet that he could keep his land with Mr. Montague's boundaries or by different land. Mr. Capulet was so furious that he bought land close to his house, and from that day forward he never had a civil conversation with Mr. Montague again.
