What happened into Sara's mind between the moment she saw Michael's wife and the dialogue that they had in the yard? (Episode 11.) My imagination tried to fill that empty space, I hope you like it.
Typical declaration: I don't own any of the characters, story, and series of Prison Break. I'm not selling, or making any kind of profit off of this story I've written. No infringement is intended. This is solely for my own enjoyment and the enjoyment of others. (At last that is what I hope).
Mirror reflection
The cold water touched her face as she washed it several times but it didn't cool her mood. Definitively she was angry, perturbed. The image of this woman hugging him didn't leave her mind. Why did it affect her that way? Probably it was because she 'is' his wife, probably it was because the guards were gossiping and she heard them talking about the hot Scolfield's wife.
The white and rough towel dried her face. Now all trace of concern was washed and she stared at her face reflected into the mirror. She came closer to her image leaning her hands on the basin.
He was married!
It was a shocking discovery. But she didn't want to ask herself why.
He was married!
Michael Scolfield was a riddle, a mystery, an irresistible puzzle that she found irresistible to solve.
But he was married.
She rinsed her hands for umpteenth time, dried it and decided to follow her routine.
During five patients she didn't think about Michael Scolfield at all but hardly had she seen the paper flower in the shelf … her apprehension came back again.
Michael's marriage discovery became completely awkward. 'Don't make me lie to you…' he asked once but he lied. That lie impelled her to investigate him. Even though this time he didn't lie, he had hidden his civil state deliberately.
She didn't know anything about him. What kind of person he was? If he hid his marriage, what else he hid from her?
This problem was interfering with her job, it had to stop. She needed to talk to him. If he could explain it better but probably he would cover himself behind his exasperating silence as every time she made a question that he didn't want to answer.
The things should return to their natural course, he was an inmate and she was the prison's doctor.
Through the window she saw him cleaning the yard with the others inmates of PI. A neutral point could be the better place to talk and to clarify the things once and for all.
Determination moved her hand when she turned the latch and she walked to the stairs. It was the right moment to speak frankly and put the cards on the table…
The end (by now...)
