Hiccup.

Oh no…

Hiccup.

Luffy laughed a little. Usopp blinked, and Zoro slapped his hand on his face. Not again…

Luffy once again had the hiccups. They had come and gone for the past two days and both days Luffy had just let them be there, because he didn't want to do anything to get rid of them. It kept Zoro awake from his naps and broke Usopp's concentration. "Luffy! I've told you, when you do something that changes your breathing rate dramatically you get hiccups! Stop doing whatever you've been doing and just breath!"

Luffy giggled and replied, "But all I do is run! And maybe do something else like take a nap right after. Yeah, they come after that. But that's-" hiccup "okay!"

Usopp shakes his head and Zoro sighs, "Luffy, hold your breath."

"But why?" Luffy questioned.

"To stop the hiccups."

"But they-" hiccup.

"Luffy!" Usopp and Zoro both yelled at once.

"Fine." Luffy started to hold his breath.

They seemed to stop for awhile, so Luffy let his breath out and Zoro and Usopp sighed, Usopp going back to work on a drawing and Zoro laying his head back to fall asleep again.

Hiccup.

Oh hell no.

"What did you do this time?" Zoro's eyes flew open as he demanded this.

"I'm leaving. I'll be in my room if you need me. But since your Zoro, you won't." Usopp stated, grabbing his materials and then exiting the area.

Zoro sighed, "Look, Luffy, look, there's a bird!"

Luffy turned around and exclaimed, "I had a pet bird once! It pecked my face and stole my-" hiccup "cracker."

Zoro snorted to keep from laughing and then stood up as Luffy stared at the sky, "Where's the bird?"

Zoro left the area and went around the other side of the boat.

When Luffy realized that he was alone, and not succeeding in finding the mysterious bird, he called out, "Zoro!" and was off to find the swordsman.

Going onto the side of the boat that he believed Zoro was on, Luffy called out once again, "Zoro!"

"Boo!" he heard Zoro cry out from behind him and he turned around and smiled. "What were you trying to do?"

"Scare you." Zoro replied, sighing.

"Why would you want to scare me?" Luffy tilted his head.

"To get rid of your hiccups." Zoro replied, getting ready to turn around.

"Oh. Well I forgot about them so their gone now. That's all thanks to you for making me forget! Yay!" Luffy threw his arms around the surprised swordsman and kissed him on the lips. Zoro's eyes, to Luffy's fleeting fear, got wide enough that it seemed they could just roll on out of the sockets.

Luffy pulled away and smiled, "Well I'm going to go see what Usopp's doing. Thanks again, Zoro!" he ran off to the sharpshooter's room.

Zoro blinked, and then the unthinkable happened.

Hiccup.
