On a large stage, with half a set of Africa and the other half of the ocean, Alan Quatermain and Captain Nemo stood in spotlights, waiting for the music.
'After you Mr Quatermain.'
The hunter nodded in acknowledgement.
Alan:

The league, watching from the audience, nod in agreement to join the two on the stage and make a team.

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
