Our Lying, Cheating, and Stealing Hero
On Monday I was told that Eddie Guerrero died. Later that night I was watching Raw and I still find it shocking that it's true. I didn't want to believe it but as many days of confusion and asking God why such a great man could be taken away I made it to Friday. Hearing his theme song when Batista came out on Smackdown, and then watching Chavo wrestle last night brought me down to earth and now I do believe it. But I also believe we'll all see him again someday. I often found myself singing I lie, cheat, and steal along with my sister when we watched Eddie when he was on RAW and when he was on SMACKDOWN. We always chanted his infamous motto. So I want to share a poem I wrote although I'm not a very good poet I felt it was the least I can do for my remembrance of Eddie Guerrero.
I never knew you
But feel like I did
Who knew you would steal a piece of my soul away
I lie, I cheat, I steal is what you used to say
You were the one I stayed up for when you were on RAW
That was the reason I was always yelled at by my mom
Viva la Raza
That's what I chanted every Friday
And hearing "Eddie you suck"
Tore my soul away
I can't imagine what you're family is feeling
But the hurt doesn't stop us from believing
That one-day we'll see you again and chant
Viva la Raza and we love you champ
Rest In Peace
Eddie Guerrero
1967-2005
We will always love you and you'll never be forgotten.
Viva la Raza
