Summary: "You're going to be late for your train." A 15 minute ficlet about Bonnie in "Into You Like A Train."

"Don't go."

Bonnie's halfway out the door and he insists on pouting and giving her puppy dog eyes. She drops her bags dramatically.

"I have to. Unless you were planning on telling my mom that we're getting married once our kids enrolled in high school," she laughs, throwing her arms around Danny's neck.

"Or maybe," she says with a devilish smile, hands twirling the hair at his nape, "you're afraid I'll meet a tall, dark, and handsome stranger who'll sweep me off my feet and make me see the error of my wicked ways."

He laughs and she embraces him a bone-crushing hug, wishing she never has to let go. Meanwhile, he breathes in her hair, her perfume, but mostly her. And maybe her need for a tic tac, but he won't tell her that.

He clings on to her a few more seconds and then, abruptly lets go.

"You're going to be late for your train."

She picks up her bags and shoots him a defiant glare.

"This coming from the guy who never makes it to the office before nine."

"In my defense, you're the reason I'm always late," punctuating his statement with a kiss.

Rolling her eyes, "Excuses, excuses."

She walks out the door and loads the bags into her car. No, their car. She almost squeals with glee at the correction.

Bonnie takes in one last look, grinning at the normalcy of it all. He's leaning on the red doorway still clad in pajamas. Maybe in a year or two, Danny won't be the only one seeing her off. Especially, if they keep up their morning rituals.

"Hey, Bonnie."

"Yep."

"Come home safe."

She gives him a smile and drives to the station.

"Hey Dr. Shepherd? Are my toes wiggling?"

Pause. Oh god no. Please don't.

"Yes. Yes, they are."

She leans her head on her companion, Tom, and thinks, yes, I'll come home safe, Danny.
