Maureen walked into the bar, smoothing her hand down her shirt. It was her first night in the city, time to decide who she was going to be while she was here. She refused to be the same shy, meek little girl she was at home, following orders and waiting her turn in line.
She had just graduated high school, and was in New York City to find her own way. Her parents let her go easily, even buying her an apartment and a cell phone and car as 'make it on your own' presents, which Maureen thought defeated the purpose. And any way, her parents were only a few hours away in Jersey. She could always give the things back when she had a job and could get them for herself.
She looked around the bar, all the men and women. She tugged somewhat uncomfortably at the neckline of her shirt, pulling it higher, but after seeing several people smile and wink at her, she adjusted it back to where it had been before. She had worn the most daring thing in her closet; a pair of tight black pants, that hugged her hips when she walked, and a blood red top, with bell sleeves and a plunging neckline. It really helped matters that she didn't even have to stuff her bra. It was all natural, and for once, Maureen didn't mind the attention it was calling to her.
She sat down at the bar it didn't even bother trying to get a drink, since she would just feel stupid when they asked for an ID and she didn't have one. Instead, she ordered a Pepsi. Taking the drink in her hand, she twirled the straw around in and then pulled it out, licking it, much like every child does, but this time; people looked at her like she was flirting with them by doing it. She winked to them, but put the straw back in her glass.
When she was finished with her drink, she got up and walked onto the dance floor. Starting slowly, she swayed her hips to the side. She gained speed until she was moving in time with the music. People began coming up and dancing with her, people she didn't know, obviously, and she pulled away from them at first, somewhat scared. Then one man came up and wrapped his arms around her, moving his hips along with hers, and for some reason, it felt easy, like that was who she was supposed to be dancing with at the moment.

Angel sat at the bar, sipping his soda. He in no way looked old enough to pass for 21, as so few eighteen year olds were, so his soda would have to do. It was odd, how he was feeling today. As he looked around the bar, nothing in particular was becoming a turn on for him. No certain person stood out, no face called to him, so he sat with his soda.
His jeans were tight against his thighs, and his black top was just baggy enough that he could move in it. His parent's didn't like the clothes he wore, but he didn't really give a sit if they liked it or not. He was comfortable, and to him, that was all that mattered.
He leaned back against the bar, wondering what time he would have to leave in order to make sure that his parents would be passed out by the time he got home and he wouldn't have to deal with them, when he saw a girl walk in. She couldn't have been much older than him. It may have been that her smile was shy, even though it looked like she was flirting, or the way her curly brown her flipped when she danced, but she was finally the face in the crowed that jumped out at him.
He set down his still half full soda and walked over to her, easily getting close since she seemed to be pushing people away, but not him, for some reason. He wrapped his arms around her waist and moved his hips in time with hers.
