Chrissie's POV

There you are, in a darkened room
And you're all alone, looking out the window
Your heart is cold and lost the will to love
Like a broken arrow
Here I stand in the shadows

She just wanted to be happy again.

She wanted it to go back to the time when he was still by her side, wiping away her tears.

She wished that night had never happened, that she'd never killed Den, then maybe her and Jake could've had the family she'd always wanted.

And maybe, just maybe, she wouldn't spend everyday wishing for a happy ever after that was never going to come.

She knew she deserved all of this, and that is what was killing her. The fact that if she had dealt with things differently, she'd still have Jake. She longed to be the old Chrissie Watts again, the sarcastic strong woman she once was, but she had changed, she was now an emotional wreck. There was an evil inside her that she couldn't get rid of.

She needed to release the evil.

She stared at the knife at the other side of the room, and without a moments hesitation she grabbed it and dragged the blade across her wrist. She didn't feel any pain, the truth was that it felt like all the bad feelings she'd kept inside for too long were finally escaping her, they were rushing out just like the blood.

Nobody wants to be lonely
Nobody wants to cry
My body's longing to hold you
So bad it hurts inside
Time is precious and it's slipping away
And I've been waiting for you all of my life
Nobody wants to be lonely
So why, why don't you let me love you

And that's when it hit her, the pain hadn't gone and the evil was still inside her, except now there was more pain, physical pain, and the only person who could stop that pain was Jake.
