A/N; This series will generally be of characters thoughts, but I'm branching out a little here. Please R and R.
Lee saw her in the galley the next day and his stomach did a turn he couldn't explain. She hadn't seen him yet, so he sat down a few tables away.
It wasn't that he had been avoiding her, it was more that he was confused. He wanted to work out some feelings he had been having recently, and talking to Dee would have complicated that even more.
That day as they were sparring, he had felt something and it had been strong. Almost as strong as it had been fleeting, but he couldn't deny what he had felt.
Lee hadn't known her for that long, only for a few months before the attack. Yet, he had felt close to her from the start. When he wanted to talk and wasn't in the mood for Starbuck sarcasm, he always went to Dee. For some reason, he always had felt a little better after that. She had a calm manner about her.
All of this was not to say that he didn't want to talk to Dee, but what would he say? Hello Dee, Even though you have a steady boyfriend and the fraternization regs are still in place, did you feeling something when we sparred the other day?
He laughed grimly at the idea, but then looked up and saw Dee walking toward him.
"Mind if I join you?" He couldn't think of a polite way to say no, So she pulled up a chair.
