Rejection In Your Eyes
Disclaimer: I do not own Silhouette Mirage
Chapter One: Hate
I hate myself
Those three words echoed through Geluve's mind as she stood out side the dome-shaped Shelter, gazing with disgust at her reflection in it's metallic walls. She looked to be about eighteen or so years of age, with dark skin and short, oddly-colored green hair that curled at the tips. She wore a tight, sleeveless, mini-skirt dress and boots, both made out of the same white material. Her eyes were of the oddest things about her-one red and one blue-one Silhouette and one Mirage.
Her hands were bound behind her back by an odd metallic, cube-like device probably designed to keep her awesome powers at bay, not that she was not strong enough regardless, but it was just so uncomfortable!
She hated having to keep her powers under control-she hated having to belong to everyone but herself, yet still have no real place in this horrific world. This was not the life she wanted.
Geluve walked into the Shelter. It was easy now that the guard droids were all dead. She kept walking until she came upon a water-filled tube with many different colored wires inside. The wires were wrapped tightly around a short, blond girl whose age she could not identify.
The Messenger…the one who would return this world to the way it should be…The one who, like herself, possessed both the Silhouette and Mirage attributes. This little girl…
Geluve's differently colored eyes narrowed as she looked in on the Messenger's peaceful sleeping face, so innocent and unaware of what awaited her when she woke up. Her mission had to succeed, but there was no reason to make it any easier for such a puny savior, Geluve thought, tearing a few of the wires connected to the tube. Let her try to save-no, restore-the world without her memories.
Turning, the green-haired girl walked briskly back out of the Shelter, knowing it would not be long before the Messenger's awakening and the arrival of Zohar. Before leaving, she turned and had one last look at the sleeping girl's face.
I hate myself…but I hate you even more.
