She Shall Not Feel The Pain I Felt.
"Daddy" The little girl whispered as she sat on the old man's lap. She had just lost her mother, and was oh so very depressed. She sobbed as she lay her head on his shoulder. How could the world have come to this? Her mom used to tell her stories about her old school, Hogwarts, and how much fun it was back then.. She said there was a great lake, and a huge octopus lived in it! She explained everything about quidditch, the sport that no one had played since 3 years. Yes, it had been three years since the beginning of the war. The war, oh how it had changed all of their lives. She was just 4 when it started, but she remembered it all like it was yesterday. There had been thunder, cries, yells and screams. When you walked outside, there was the dark mark looming over every 2-3 houses.
Daddy had tried to bring them to Godric's Hollow. They would be safe there. But Mommy he denied, saying that she like her cozy home so much. Then they'd gotten in a fight again, and there was yelling, Daddy asking her what she found cozy about this house? It had been raided, and like every other one, all there was left were raw provisions and 3 small, see-through blankets. Her mother would not move, and so Daddy had taken Emma by the hand and driven her to the car. He had made his way back to the house. And that was when the commotion started.
"How could you do this to us?" that was Daddys voice.
"Severus! Don't you understand?" She her Mommys maniac voice. "Ive ben with them from the beginning! I helped you stay alive! Didn't you wonder why our house was the only one left untoutched by the death eaters?"
"My blocking curses and charms were the ones that's saved us!"
"Yeah right! That's why my friends managed to destroy Arthur Weasley, the minister's house!"
"Oh, so that's where you were all along! I knew I shouldn't have trusted you miss Oh-I-was-taking-a-walk-at-the-park!"
"That right Severus! You never even noticed your own wife among all of us!"
"Hermione…"
"You're not worthy of me!" A howl of laughter could be heard. "Crutacius!"
"No!" Snape cried out in pain as the unforgivable was cast. "Avada… Kedavra." He let a tear crawl down his cheek as he stared at his wife's dead body. If only he had known, maybe he wouldn't have loved her so.
Slowly he had walked back to the car. And he let his daughter cry on his lap. She could not, would not live with the pain and suffering of this world. He had gone through it, but there was no need for her to do the same. He had to do the impossible. Save her life while it was still possible.
"Avada Kedavra" and the little girl was dead. Her sorrow gone forever.
A-N: Well, a very different angsty story that popped into my head. What'd you think? Please review! It means so much to me, you wouldn't believe how much.
