Beginnings, Ends and 7 Years Later
Fire was spreading through the building. Zen ran as fast as he could down the stairs. Of course, he was only 6, so there was a limit to how fast he could run. Luckily for him, someone scooped him up and started carrying him down the stairs. Zen looked up and saw his father. He smiled but little did he know that that was the last time he was going to be seeing his father for more then 5 years. His father put him down at the bottom of the stairs and they started running together. Zen spotted some colorful costumed people fighting a weird looking creature nearby. That was the last thing he saw as a stray blast hit him in the chest.
13 Year-Old Zen snapped awake from his coma just as easily as he would have snapped awake if it was just a short nap. His mother who had been cleaning him up for the day gasped in surprise as she called the nearest nurse she could find. She was ushered out of the room by a nurse while a doctor checked on Zen's vital signs. She sighed in relief as the doctor told her that Zen was perfectly alright.
Within 2 weeks, Zen was actually ready to go to school. He was first given a test to see where he would go. Because he had gone into a coma at the age of 6, Zen was not expected to get anything above 2nd grade. He startled everyone by scoring a perfect score on the test, placing himself at University level.
Shortly after that, he was given an IQ test and the test measured Zen's IQ as 190. After a few more tests to check how real the results were, Zen was shipped off to Massachusetts Institute of Technology. This was where things started to change…
