Author's Note: I was going to add this to another story, but it's too cute to pass up.
It was one of those periods of downtime between all the fighting and the training; a time to relax, to spend time with friends, and to be something more than a superhero.
Bridge and Z were in the recreation room enjoying their fifth game of Super Duper Mario Pokemon Digimon Battle Card Melee for the GameStation 14. Sounds of cute pixilated characters getting blown up were heard all the way to the Command Center. Their thumbs were working furiously when Bridge thought of something.
"You know Z, you and Sydney remind of this musical made around the turn of the century, especially when you see Syd in all pink. It had these two witches who were like the opposite of each other and they were forced to room together at school."
"Wait, are you calling us witches?"
"No, no, no, I didn't mean it like that but they did magic and stuff and they're women so they're witches. But anyway, Sydney, I mean Glinda, was this really popular girl who came from a rich family and was just a little stuck up. And Elphaba was always taunted and stuff because she was green, which I don't think is really that bad, and she moved around all the time so that made her shy. But Elphaba was really strong willed and she stuck up for what she believed in. At first they fought all the time, and then over time they became best friends. Glinda became more caring and Elphaba let people get closer to her."
"So what happened to the witches after that?" Z asked as her Raichu decimated Bridge's Princess Peach.
"Well, Glinda stays all rich and popular and Elphaba gets melted by this girl named Dorothy."
"Melted?"
"Yeah, she gets melted by water and she's dead."
"Wow, Bridge. That's really heartwarming."
"But I didn't tell you my favorite part yet, in the book, which I think is better. Isn't it funny how it works out that way? Well, in the book there's this guy, Fiyero, who is different from all the other students. He doesn't feel like part of the group and he's an outsider. Later on, he and Elphaba become friends and even later on they fall in love."
"That's so sweet."
"Yeah, really sweet."
