Gold. A treasure known to everyone. It has the power to turn whole civilizations against each other. It has turned great rulers to evil dictatorship. Many people wander how something so beautiful could be so dangerous.

I myself have also pondered that question only to find the answer right up under my nose the whole time.

Silk. Another deadly treasure of which stood under my nose. Mixed with gold, I could sense the danger as I understood how it could be so addicting.

There he sat upon my desk; his silken strands of gold sticking to his flushed face. I reached up to kiss away a falling diamond from his pale cheek. The greatest treasure of all was right there in my arms, under me breathing in short gasps. Closed eyes then opened to reveal golden pools filled with trust.

Gold, diamonds, and silk did not seem like the world's greatest treasures anymore. The greatest treasure of all was the trust and love that we shared. He had loved me, as I loved him. He had trusted me with his innocence. It truly was the greatest gift a man could ever have.

I remembered all the times we had shared those treasures with one another as I looked down at the stone engraved with a name that held with it more pain and suffering than anyone would ever have imagined.

Edward Elric

The Fullmetal Alchemist

Brother, Lover, Hero of the People

It was all I could do to keep from bawling my eyes out and asking for god to bring him back. I even had the audacity to run human transmutation through my mind. I turned to my left and looked at the flesh brother that he had lived and died to protect.

Red eyes stared back, and there was empathy between us. We held each other for what seemed like to short of a time as we both cried upon the grave of the man that had made the most impression on our lives.

Both of us new that no matter how many years passed, no one would let the name of Edward Elric die down. No one would ever forget the legendary Fullmetal Alchemist.

Thank you for reading. I'm sad to say that I am an amature at fanfictions, but please read and review so I can make your reading experience better. THANKS!
