She had never thought it would go this far.
Sure Shikamaru was good for a fuck every now and then, but that was all she thought is was to her.
Love was not a word Temari was familiar with.
So when Shikamaru told Temari he loved her, she was completely bewildered.
Even after she could no longer make out Shikamaru's shadow in the street light, she kept silent.
And there she stayed on that same park bench for a few hours longer.
When she left Konoha before dawn, she still hadn't spoken a word.
Love was not a word Temari was familiar with.
She came back only one month later, far sooner than she thought she would have.
Temari refused to waver on her personal mission any longer.
She found him in his usual spot-watching the clouds.
He noticed her presence, but did nothing about it, not even when she lay down next to him.
Only when she looked skywards to the clouds did he give her his acknowledgement.
Temari glanced to her side, and she and Shikamaru's eyes finally met one another's.
His eyes told Temari he was angry with her, and she couldn't understand why.
She had come all the way to Konoha just to see him-and only him. Shouldn't he be happy with just that one fact?
Love was not a word Temari was familiar with.
Temari released a deep sigh and she could hear Shikamaru give out a growl of annoyance.
It may have been a month late, but Temari finally gave Shikamaru her answer.
She caught him in a passionate kiss, the first time in her life catching him off-guard.
As quickly as she came had she let go, leaving Shikamaru desiring for more.
Shikamaru muttered a 'How Troublesome' before watching the clouds once more.
Temari smirked and nestled her head into his shoulder.
Love was not a word Temari was familiar with. She was, however, willing to understand it.
A/N: So,there it is.After months of reading ShikaTema full-heartily,I decidedto makemy own story.I hope I made it worth your time because there really isn'tever enough ShikaTema love in the Naruto-world!
