Balto, the Hero
Balto the wolf dog, Balto the mutt,
All hero is he, it was just Nome's luck that
Late in the night Balto did leave,
To find the medicine he knew he had to retrieve.
Other dogs called him foolish,
They called out bad names, but Balto the
Hero had no time for games.
Everyone awaited the return of the team, but to everyone's surprise, t'was
He, Balto, the wolf dog at the lead.
Every girl and boy was given the jab for the diphtheria flu,
Rosie soon opened her eyes and seeing Balto exclaimed;
Oh Balto, I would have been lost without you.
