- I Will Carry You -
'Yah I know it hurts, Yah I know you're scared, walking down the road that leads to who knows where. Don't you hang your head, don't you give up yet, when courage starts to disappear I will be right here.'
Hermione knelt down beside the polished rock, laying down a single red rose. "Oh Harry," She sighed. They all knew it would happen. Just before the final battle Sybil Trelawney made her last serious prediction. Harry knew that he was going to die, but he also knew he would take down Voldemort with him. He sacrificed himself for the good of the Wizarding and Muggle worlds.
"Oh Harry."
'When your world breaks down, and the voices tell you turn around. When your dreams give out, I will carry you. Carry you. When the stars go blind, and the darkness starts to flood your eyes. When you're falling behind, I will carry you.'
"Hermione?" Hermione's tear stained face turned towards her red headed best friend.
"Ronald!" She squeaked as she threw her self in to his arms. His chest stifled her sobs, but he could still hear, and feel her tears.
"It's okay 'Mione." It felt like he had been in this situation a lot lately, Hermione crying on his shoulder, but every time it broke him a little. He hated to see her cry. "Shh, Hermione, It's all right."
"NO! It's NOT all right Ronald! It will never be all right! HARRY. IS. GONE!" she screamed banging her fists against him, he let her have her tantrum, once she calmed down a little he whispered.
"I'm still here."
'Every body cries, every body bleeds, no one ever said that life's an easy thing. That's the beauty of it, When you loose your way close your eyes, go to sleep, wake up to another day.'
Hermione pulled back looked at the boy. He looked down at the puffy eyed Hermione, her eyes still glistening with the tears she cried.
"I know that Ron."
'When the world breaks down and the voices tell you turn around when your dreams give out, I will carry you. Carry you. When the stars go blind, and the darkness starts to flood your eyes. When you're falling behind, I will carry you.
You should know now that you're not alone, take my heart and we will find, you will find your way home.'
"Hermione, I love you. I always have, and always will."
"I know that too Ron. They don't call me the brightest witch of our age for nothing." She joked, causing Ron to smile for the first time in what felt like a century.
"I want you to be mine Hermione, I want you to be my wife, we should be together forever." Hermione looked a bit shocked.
"Hermione, Marry me?"
"Oh Ron, I love you, Of course I'll marry you!" She kissed him delicately on the lips, then looked back at the grave stone of her best friend. "He should be here with us." She sighed.
"He is." Ron whispered back. He took his fiancee's hand and slowly walked away.
'When the world breaks down, and the voices tell you turn around. When your dreams give out, I will carry you. Carry you. When the stars go blind, and the darkness starts to flood your eyes. When you're falling behind, I will Carry you, Carry you. I will carry you, Carry you. I will carry you, carry you…'
