Shuggazoom City, 3:30am

A loud ear-piercing cry from a child could be heard throughout the Super Robot. Those who were sleeping, are probebly awake. Gibson shot out of bed upon hearing the cries. He knew the cries are coming from his baby daughter, Mercury. Quickly, he rushed to her crib, picking up the small monkey girl. Cradeling the infant in his arms he whispered to her.

"Hush now little one. It's alright...I'm here...". The voice of her father calmed her down, as her cries became quieter, and quieter. Her frown replaced with a smile.

My love for my daughter
for you bring me joy
for when you smile
I see the twinkle in your eye
that brightens up my day

Gibson's heart warmed as he saw that cute little smile of hers. It brought a smile to his face. A chuckle escaped his mouth as he heard the infant babble and coo quietly. Sitting down, holding his baby close to him, he very gently tickles her small tummy. The baby monkey giggled and squirmed around in his arms. He coulden't help, but giggle with her.

for when you laugh I laugh with you
for when you hurt I'll be with you
for when you cry I'll be there to wipe the tears away
for you are my daughter who I love with all my heart

He ceased tickling little Mercury, and her giggles slowly faded. That cute smile came back as Gibson nuzzled her little nose with his. Slowly, he then caressed her small face gently with his finger. Mercury waved her tiny hands about, and grabbed his finger gently. That same warm, loving feeling returned to Gibson's heart, as he smiled softly. He held her close to him, promising himself that he will always be there to protect her.

I'll always be here to hold you
for you're not alone for when you need me to guide you

A yawn emitted from the young infant, as her red eyes droop, untill they finally close. Gibson didn't move however. He just smiled...Still sitting against the wall...Still holding the one thing thats keeping him going...His only daughter...Whispering one last thing before sleep claimed him...

"I love you Mercury...My loving daughter..."

I'll lead you to the path
for I'll always show you that I love you
from the bottom of my heart
