SPOILER: The entire series. I've watched it all the way to the end, and if you haven't you should not be reading this.

A/N: It distresses me greatly that I have yet to read a fic that addresses Fuu's contradictory statements in episodes 21 and 24. After reading this, you'll know which statements exactly I'm referring to. Anyhow, it's rather OOC, I suppose. I had her, essentially, playing the Woman's Game.

Enjoy.

She had done it. She had played the two strongest men in Japan for fools, and she had gotten away with it.

It hadn't been done in any big way; there had been no grand moment of dishonesty to set their hearts on deceitful paths. No, there were only the small things – the looks, the touches. The words.

There were so few words spoken with those two, and so many silences. The words made it easy to guide them, and in the silence it was easy to covet her secret.

She wanted them both, and she wanted them both to want her and she wanted to shatter their hearts completely - because she was not weak.

Because she was not her mother.

Turning from them, self-satisfaction lifted the corners of her small, mischievous mouth while she self-consciously lowered her lashes to shield her secret from the hunched man waiting before her.
