Roses of Love
Hatori knows what love is like. It is a rose blooming and then withering. Each petal forsaking the flower until only thorns are left behind. Thorns that tear at your skin as you try to hold on, drenching the stem in crimson. Frigid breezes nip at you until you're wading through the familiar white flakes of snow, lost.
Shigure also knows about love, and told him so one day. He said that for every rose that vanishes, a new one would grow and take its place. It may be a different size or shape, but it will still be there.
