It was a studio apartment.

A small but warm and comfortable one. The couch that could be altered into a bed was occupied by two persons. A male and a female. The couple cuddled each other, hiding under the thick blanket from the chilly winter night.

"It's almost Christmas." She whispered softly. Her eyes closed and her head rested on his broad shoulder.

"It is." He answered back. His eyes glued on the TV screen.

"I miss Christmas with my family." She said again. Still closing her eyes.

"Me too." The midnight blue-haired man replied. His bespectacled face expressionless.

She sighed. "We really shouldn't be here."

"Are you regretting being here?"

"No, but…are you?" She sighed again. Twirling her raven locks on her dainty fingers.

"I'm happy."

"Me too. But isn't it just…just…just a little bit too hard…" She bit her lower lip.

He sighed. A sad expression across his handsome face. "I know. But we don't have much choice, do we, Tomoyo?"

She sobbed softly. "No…we don't…. But fate is unfair to us, Eriol-kun…"

"We just never can understand fate, Tomoyo. Never."

"Yeah…But promise me you will always love me, Eriol…" She said. Tilting up her pretty, tears-stained face and stared at him with her expressive lilac eyes.

"I promise. You know I will always love you. Forever and ever."

"No matter what happened?"

"No matter what happened."

She smiled softly. "And promise me one thing more."

"What?" He stared at her with soft eyes.

"That you will never leave me."

He chuckled. "Of course, silly. I'll never leave you. Remember, I love you."

"Yeah, I love you too." She smiled.

He leaned forward, pressing his body to hers.

She imitated his move, meeting him halfway.

"If only we aren't cousins…" She whispered before his lips claimed hers.
