Ash couldn't stand watching everything fall apart in front of him. He knew once the Slowking told him he was the Chosen One he would fail...fail and destroy the earth.

The whole world was already turning dark as Lugia tried to fend off Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos. Already badly weakened, the Lugia didn't stand any more of a chance. Ash watched with tears falling down his face as Zapdos released one last Thunder attack. Lugia fell into the ocean and Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno sealed up the ice. Then, they turned to fight one another.

Ash hugged Pikachu close to him as he watched the Legendary Birds fight. Zapdos using Thunder on Articuno, Moltres attacking Zapdos with Fire Blast, Articuno ramming Moltres with Ice Beam. In the end, they would destroy each other, just as it was predicted if the Chosen One failed...

Articuno cried out one last time as Zapdos released another Thunder. It fell into the sea, to forever rest with the fallen Lugia. Ash blinked back tears as he looked at the sky. It was darkening more. Pikachu shuddered in his arms. He could feel the power zap from Pikachu as the raging Pokemon continued their war.

"I'm sorry, Pikachu," Ash whispered, tears falling down his face. "I'm sorry, Mom," He shuddered from the cold. "I'm sorry world,"

Ash heard Moltres and Zapdos cry out and heard a loud splash. The three warriors had all fallen...and Ash felt the wind pick up as the destruction began. Pikachu whimpered underneath him and Ash felt his Poke Balls shaking. No, he wouldn't let his Pokemon out. Pikachu was the only one who refused to return to a Poke Ball. Even though Ash destroyed the world, Pikachu still wouldn't let it's best friend die alone.

Pikachu looked up at Ash and licked him on the cheek. "Pikachu, Pikapi," it whispered, clinging to Ash. Ash sobbed and hugged Pikachu tight against him as the ocean loomed above them. As the icy water crashed on top of him and Pikachu, Ash cursed himself for letting this happen. Ash held his breath for as long as he could and let the water enter his lungs. His vision fading, he looked down at Pikachu, whose eyes were beginning to close.

That was the last thing he saw before the world was destroyed.

Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice, and lightning

Lest these titans wreck destruction upon the world in which they clash

Though the water's great guardian shall arise to quell the fighting

Alone it's song shall fail, thus the earth shall turn to Ash...
