"So, where's your father, Shorty?" Jean asked, mockingly.
Edward ignored the boy.
"I heard that he died!" Cain said from the back of the group of boys who had been harassing Ed.
Edward just looked at the ground.
"My mother and father told us what really happened. He just left your mom." Said someone else in the group.
Edward looked to see where his brother was, to make sure he was okay.
Al was on the other side of the schoolyard talking to Winry. Good, she would
protect him from any of the bullies.
The boys had continued talking while Ed tried not to listen.
"We heard that you and your brother don't even have the same dad," Eric said with a smirk.
"Your mother was just with whoev-"
He didn't get a chance t finish; Ed punched him on the face.
It was strength against numbers though, and after the punch there
had been a silent cue to beat up the pip-squeak.
"Brother, mom said not to get into any fights." Al said, having managed to drag
Winry over after the bullies had left.
Ed stood up and wiped the dirt from his clothes and a bit of blood from his face.
"Come on Al, we're going home. We'll walk you home, okay Winry?"
