"Inuyashaaa!"
Her voice split through the air like broken daggers. The young priestess hit the ground with a hallow thump, and he heard it clearly. The silver haired Hanyou echoed her name back as he watched hopelessly, the demon they had been fighting, going straight for the young girl. With It's claws outstretched, teeth revealed, it attached. Young Kagome screamed, the claws and teeth ripping at her tender flesh.
Inuyasha withdrew his sword, running wildly at the demon, swinging his sword in fury. He rose his sword, bringing it down on the twisted creature before him. Kagome screamed out once more, as a light engulfed the entire field's being. The demon disintegrated slowly, screaming out in anger and pain as he slowly fell to the ground in ash. By the time everything cleared, and Inuyasha opened his eyes, he looked over to see Kagome was not doing the same. He dropped the beloved fang, leaping over to Kagome's side. As he growled, scooping her up gently, the rest of the gang arrived upon the transformed cat Demon's back. Sango called out, and Miroku leapt off the cat. Inuyasha almost ignored them as he slowly stood,
" I need to get her to the village…." he bit out. Shippou bit his bottom lip, whimpering as he clung to Sango's shoulder, watching his 'mother' being carried past him. Miroku nodded slowly, his eyes on the unconscious girl.
" Right… "He said softly, following slowly. Kiara transformed, mewing softly as she leapt upon the monks shoulders. They walked back in suspended silence, their words hidden in their worried thoughts.
