IT: A Story Within the Story

As she walked into her room, Stacy couldn't help to think about the horrible murders within her small town. "They weren't just murders," she thought to her self, "Murderers don't shred the bodies for fun; this was a serial maniac." She began to get into her bed when a horrible thought came to her head.

She remembered a story that her old friend told her about a clown called "Pennywise". Every 30 years that clown came to feed on children. Stacy started to became extremely frightened. The room was dark, even with the lights on. She got out of her bed to turn out the lights. She laid her hand on the lights switch, and closed her eyes. She waited a few seconds before she turned off. "Flip." It was really dark now, Stacy ran to her bed and quickly pulled up the covers. She took a deep breath, and laid there with her eyes open. Then she slowly closed them. Just as she began to think about the happy things in her life, she heard a small voice.

She opened her eyes. It began to get louder. "Stacy," it whispered..."Stacy, can you hear me?" She didn't speak. "Stacy!" it yelled, as if it were right above her. She screamed. She began to breathe heavily. The voice stopped. She waited for her parents to check up on her, but nothing happened. "Help!" she yelled. She waited a few seconds. Then she heard the voice again. But she couldn't hear what it was saying. All she could understand was "float." Then she understood it, and she knew she was going to die because she had heard the quote from her friend. "We all float down here" it said louder, "and when your down here with us...YOU FLOAT TOO!" She jumped out of bed and ran towards the door, but it was too late.

Something grabbed her feet and drug her under the bed. "AHHH!" Stacy screamed as loud she could, but it did no good. Soon she found her self facing the clown that she feared more than anything. "You'll die if you try to fight us...You'll die if you try!" Then he ate her. He started with the face, and moved down to her heart. He didn't even give her time to scream. When all that was left was the bones, he turned on the lights and picked up a teddy bear, which was the only thing that made Stacy feel safe, and laid it by her skull. Then he walked out.

The next day when the parents came to wake Stacy, all they found was a balloon hovering in the middle of the room. On that balloon read, "IT."
