Silent Hill: Dismember The Days

Poem 16: Douglas, The Detective With A Mission

My world was afflicted with cases.

I was going mad in my age.

And the memory, oh it never erases.

I was hoping to rewrite this page…

Supported by a crazy woman,

I visited you in all your glory.

And I tried to remain human.

I was building up a twisted story…

Betrayed and misled for all I knew,

I meant this supposed evil.

And it so happened that she was looking for you.

I was taking her here to see some people…

Revenge drove her to answers.

I also found her past.

And my head twirled like ballerina dancers.

I was telling myself that case was my last…

I had meant my match.

Yes, my old heart went into submission.

And yet, there is this small catch,

I'm still Douglas, the detective with a mission.
