I don't own 'The vampire Diaries' series, but L.J.Smith does! I love the books! Set right after the 4th book when they defected Klaus and Damon disappeared into the night.
Elena rapped Damon's leather jacket closer to her as the cool summer breeze swept passed them as they stood in the clearing. She felt Stefan's arm tighten around her waist and she looked up into his gorgeous green eyes, she smiled and trembled slightly. They had won a hard fight against Klaus. Even though they did not kill Klaus, they felt safer now he had been taken away, somewhere he could not kill and no more blood could be spilled by his merciless hands. Meredith, Bonnie and Matt celebrated their victory as they danced around in the wet ground, kicking leaves at each other. Caroline still slightly dazed was pulled into the dance as well.
Elena stared at the spot where Damon stood a few minutes before he disappeared into the night. She had loved him but it wasn't the same love she had for Stefan, she loved him more as a brother than anything else. Stefan was her world and she was his. But she shouldn't help but feel sad for Damon, for the loneliness he must feel right now. 'Damon, where ever you are, I hope you find happiness.' She thought to her self. Her eyes glisten with tear and she choked back a sob, she was just so happy it was all over and now she can have a future with Stefan, she rested her head on Stefan's shoulder tiredly and she felt totally drained of energy. Stefan took this action as a queue to start making their way home. She guessed she should have to stay at the boarding house with Stefan.
"Stefan? Can we visited my old home for the last time" He frowned at her, she just smiled back at him and said "I just want to see my sister one last time" A single tear slid down her pale cheek. He nodded understandingly at her and took her hand in his.
Elena turned towards her friends and laughed at their antics, she cleared her throat to catch their attention "It's been a hard night, I think we should go home and get some rest. Meet you tomorrow at the boarding house" In turn they hugged Elena and piled into Meredith's car. Once they where out of view, Stefan and Elena walked hand in hand into the night.
Sooo that's it for chapter one! I only just read the fourth book! Its sooo kool! I will do another chapter but I'm feeling tired now! This is my first attempted at a Vampire diary, soooo plz be gentle!
