Rating: K/G/harmless.
Summary: 3AM and you hear it. Whatever it is, whatever's making her wake up in the middle of the night crying, it'll be all right. You want to tell her that, but you don't. Complete.
Spoilers: Basically all eps, to be safe. And since I've finally seen them, mwhahaha.
Author's Notes: This was intentionally confusing, or at least it was supposed to be. Let me know if you can guess who's telling the story. It was my first time doing second person, so sorry if I killed it, or made it too OOC.

3AM and you hear it. It's not loud, like when Juliet does it. It's not exactly soft either. You sit up in the darkness, squinting to make things out.
"Daise?" You hear her voice say. The sound from before comes again, from who you now are sure is Daisy. You want to reach out to her but don't really know how. Hopefully she does.
"Daisy," her voice comes again, closer to the crying. You're pretty sure Daisy says something, or tries to say something, but it's sliced up by half sobs.
It'll be okay, you want to tell her. Whatever it is, whatever's making her wake up in the middle of the night crying, it'll be all right. She's not alone, she has you.
But you don't say that. You listen to the sound of pajamas rustling, sheets sliding as she sits beside Daisy. You don't have to see to know what's going on, she's done it for you too.
She's not a gentle person, she's been through too much to know how to express that side of her well. But she tries, with you especially. She's trying now with Daisy, talking in quiet whispers that you can't understand. The meaning behind them is clear though.
You try to see them again, making out two shapes huddled on the bed a few away from yours. She's not facing you, but Daisy is, somehow you know that. Even though you're a stupid, little girl too scared to be as brave as she is, as Daisy is, as all of them are, you know that.
"You're such a Softy," Daisy says in something not her voice. Her words are muffled and shaky with tears. "Getting up at god knows what hour to deal with me."
"Ah, you're thinking I'm actually doing this for you?" Her voice is her own again, full of gentle sarcasm. "I just want you to shut up so I can actually get some sleep. Jeez, don't be so egotistical."
They laugh, quiet against each other's hair. You lie back down, wishing someone was holding you, like she's holding Daisy. Like she's held you before.
"Shelby," Daisy's voice reaches you when you're both almost asleep.
"Yeah?" You have to strain to hear Shelby's words, and even harder to make out Daisy's response.
"Thank you. You're more than I deserve."
There's the sound of them moving slightly, lying down, and you know she'll be sleeping in Daisy's bed for the rest of the night.
You listen to the quiet room, when you're sure they're both asleep, and admire her most of all. For being the bravest person here, at least in your eyes. You hope it runs in the family.
