Drabble two – To Sleep

Jean Havoc didn't like dogs. Of course, it wasn't that he hated them either, unlike Breda. He just didn't like them. They were smelly and rude and left hair all over the place and needed training for everything and they made messes and just when you got attached to them, they got up and died on you. No, he didn't like them at all. Jean much prefered cats.
So when Kain Fuery brought a kitten home one night, he wasn't going to complain. When Kain insisted they feed her and dry her and warm her up, he took all resposibility.
And as he lay in bed with the kitten sitting on his chest and an arm rapped around Kain's shoulders, Jean decided he didn't merely prefer cats, but loved them.
After all, this one made a great excuse to go to bed early.
