Disclaimer: I do not own any of the ponies; however, I do own the Byler children and the parents. I apologize if this is too short. I posted it when it was 3:30 in the morning. I just posted what I have so far. I promise I will post more either tomorrow or Sunday.
It was a nice day in Ponyland. The Byler children was spending the night at Paradise Estate. Their parents had an important meeting in Pennsylvania. It was their second time of spending the night, but it was Edwin's and Andrew's first time. They were very excited.
Roseanne helping Cupcake to cook supper for everyone. The others were outside, playing bubbleball with Fizzy's bubbles. All except for Violet and Edwin. They were flying around with Firefly and Medley, racing around Ponyland. While they were racing, Medley saw that Edwin wasn't himself. He was laughing, but there was something wrong with him. Medley can sense it.
"Hey Firefly" Medley called to Firefly from a distance. "Can you go on without me? I think I need to do something." She asked, hovering in a spot in the air. Firefly nodded and went on her way back to the Estate.
Medley headed towards her secret place. When she landed, Edwin jumped off her back.
"Why did we come here?" Edwin asked while Medley nuzzled him, gently.
"You did not seem like yourself today. Is something wrong?" Medley asked him.
Edwin shook his head. "No. I am just fine." He said, half-heartedly.
Medley gave Edwin a look. "Now, I know there is something wrong. Couldn't you tell me, please? I want to help you, but I can't unless you tell me what is wrong. I promise I will not tell anyone." She said as she nuzzled him.
Edwin sighed. "It is my first time I ever stayed at Paradise Estate, overnight. This is the first time I have been away from my mother and father."
Medley has figured out what is wrong. "So you miss your parents?" She asked him.
A few tears rolled down Edwin's cheeks. "I want my mother." He started to cry.
"Shh. It's okay. Everything will be alright. It is only for a few days. Before you know it, you will be back with your parents." Medley said as she was trying to shoothe the crying boy. Edwin kept on crying for a while. After he was feeling better, Medley saw a difference.
"Feeling better, little one?" She asked him, while nuzzling him.
Edwin nodded. "A little. Thanks Medley." He said as he patted her mane.
"Anytime. You ready to head back? I think supper will be ready when we get home." She asked him as he nodded.
"Yep." He said as he jumped on Medley's back and headed towards Paradise Estate.
On the way over, they didn't talk at all. Once she saw Paradise Estate from the distance, Medley saw the children were going inside for supper.
"Looks like we made it for supper. What do you think, Edwin?" Medley asked, but there was no reply. "Edwin?" She asked while looking over her soulders. Edwin was fast asleep. He had cried himself out. Medley smiled and shook her head and continued to head for the Estate.
Once they landed at the Estate, Medley walked in with Edwin sleeping on her back. Roseanne was the first one to noticed it. She quickly ran to them.
"Is Edwin okay?" She asked Medley as Medley nodded.
"Yes. He misses your parents. He cried so much that he fell asleep. Poor thing. Could you save some dinner for him?" Medley asked Roseanne. Roseanne nodded.
Medley went to tuck Edwin in bed. As she was doing this, Violet came into the room.
"What are you doing, Medley?" Violet asked rather loudly.
"Shh. Edwin is sleeping." Medley said, trying to whisper.
"Sorry." Violet whispered to Medley. "What happened to him?"
"I'll tell you once I am finished." Medley whispered as she was finishing tucking Edwin into bed. They tiptoed out of the room, trying not to wake him up.
